In May 2009, I attended Jeff Johnson’s traffic seminar in Detroit.
Now, while Detroit didn’t really “do it” for me, I certainly learned a lot from the event.
I also made some excellent contacts in the IM world, and if you want to do the same, then events and seminars are the best place to do just that… the fun usually happens in the bar 
One of the guest presenters at the event was James Schramko. James is a brilliant (and I mean brilliant) marketer from Sydney, Australia.
At one stage, James was managing 70 people at a Mercedes Benz dealership in Sydney, earning a good 6 figure income, but slogging his guts out.
What he’s done however, is to apply his skills and knowledge from his days at Mercedes, and use this to absolutely “crush it” online.
By way of comparison, I have done a similar thing: I.E. use my skills from being a professional musician, and just applied them to internet marketing.
The lesson here, is that we all have skills and talents which we can leverage, whether it be as a good cook (which myself and James aren’t…) good parent, good teacher, or whatever.

Hello . Despie a year of im that striped me of all my money, I still believe that just perhaps someone wil stopthe tripe and help me to generate a modest income so that I can clear the debt that is slowly stressing me out of my mind. .I have lost all faith in the gurus et al and after (Itold you so) from all the folk dear to me Iwould like to have some success before i leave this earth for worlds unknown. Hey. Just came here through the Kim Roach interview. I have never heard of James Schramko, but it really blows me away that there’s a guy from my hometown living the dream.
