For well over a year now, I’ve been hanging out with, and getting to know, some of the top people in the IM market.
Ask any successful business owner what the most important thing is in their business, and I can almost guarantee they will say…
Relationships…
Relationships with customers, and relationships with other business owners.
With relationships, you get a depth of knowledge and understanding that you could never get from a book or home study course, and this is definitely one of the reasons I have been able to progress so quickly.
Strange thing is, building solid relationships (in my opinion) is something 99% of us are perfectly capable of doing, and yet most Internet marketers just hide away behind their computer.
So how does this benefit you?…
At this stage, I have no idea whether I can be of value to the IM community, and this is something I really want your help with.
If the answer leans towards a yes, then great…
If not, no harm done, and I’ll just carry on doing what I do everyday, which is build businesses… I love every minute of it I can tell you, even the difficult moments.
Here’s your chance to take full advantage of me…
The only way I can possibly be of help to you is if I know what you need help with…
So, here’s what I propose…
In the comments section below, just tell me what you need help with.
Try and keep it concise, and bear some of the following in mind:
- What have you tried
- What has worked?
- What isn’t working?
- What is the number 1 thing you would like help with?
- What do you actually want out of what you are trying to achieve?
- If there was 1 question you could ask me, what would it be?
So guys, it’s over to you… I’m all ears.
Kind regards,
Matt

Hi Matt,
* What have you tried ?
I’ve tried adsense and earn pretty decent income but it’s decreasing over time, i don’t know why. I’ve tried amazon, it works pretty good, but not at the level that I want and I don’t know if I can make it to the level that I want cause 1 website already consume all my time, I don’t know how to make time to start another website.
* What has worked?
Blogging and social bookmarking, blog commenting, article marketing.
* What isn’t working?
Isn’t working for me is micro websites, I have to build literally hundred of websites to gain decent profit. I want to build a long term business while maintaining small but high quality websites.
* What is the number 1 thing you would like help with?
Affiliate marketing, because with adsense I will have to count on 100% to Google. The Big G can decide to kick me anytime they want.
* What do you actually want out of what you are trying to achieve?
Autopilot internet marketing businesses
* If there was 1 question you could ask me, what would it be?
Would you be my mentor?
Thanks
Hi Matt,
I’ve always been confused about how many keywords to use. I have three sites and each one is over fifty pages long.
I’m always worried that I’m doing things wrong, since the recommended number of keywords per site is eight.
How do I use eight keywords for fifty pages? I have so much I want to share with my viewers.
Sometimes, I have twenty five key words, but don’t know if Goole won’t like that. How do I choose which words to pick when I need them all?
And lastly, if I have say twenty five keywords, but have fifty pages, do I then dedicate two pages per keyword?
I’m sorry if I got your head spinning, this is the only thing I’m stuck on and hate about making websites.
If I don’t do this right then my viewers can’t find me.
Hi Matt,
I enjoyed your interview with Chris and it has got me motivated again.
* What have you tried
Adsense and Amazon via article marketing. PPC and Clickbank.
* What has worked?
I have had a little success with Adsense and Amazon. Really just enough to cover hosting for the month.
* What isn’t working?
PPC and Clickbank has been a dismal failure for me. I have spent way more than I have made.
* What is the number 1 thing you would like help with?
I really need help finding a good market. I want it to be one that I can build a list in and that has continuity built in. I want it to have quality products to promote as an affiliate. I really don’t know anything about Forex or internet marketing and many of the products in the weight loss and dating niches (and Forex and IM for that matter) don’t seem to be quality. It feels unethical to promote a product I don’t believe in.
* What do you actually want out of what you are trying to achieve?
My ultimate goal is to replace the income from my day job.
* If there was 1 question you could ask me, what would it be?
Could you help me find a market that fits the criteria that I outlined above.
Hi Matt – Surprise!
So, here are my answers to your questions:
. Very serious about that goal.
* What have you tried
Adwords, Blogging, and Social networking
* What has worked?
Social networking when combined with blogging
* What isn’t working?
Well, for now I guess they are “working” but not to the extent I would like
* What is the number 1 thing you would like help with?
Creating successful JV partnerships and getting out from behind the computer screen. Stop trying to go it alone.
* What do you actually want out of what you are trying to achieve?
Really, I’d like a 4 hour work week
* If there was 1 question you could ask me, what would it be?
How does one go about seeking out JV partnerships? What is the very first step?
Cheers, Matt.

Hi,
Thanks for sharing your interview and offering your help.
I tried adsence, amazon , clickbank and google adwords but did not get any desired results. Still struggling to make any good money on internet specially through Affiliate Marketing. Too much stuff and guru here but no real knowledge except to sell their products by using fake figures every where. I don’t want to make money by deceiving and fooling others.
Please advise what advise and method to follow needing not that much startup money and do online business honestly.
Regards
Rafiq
Thanks Matt and Chris. Several things in that interview reached out to me. A comment on Newbie as an irrelevant term. Thanks for giving me credit for my 70 year apprenticeship. Yes there is a lot of good stuff in this old head, but very little directly relates to IM. Second your willingness to offer to help us where we are at. I am embarrassed at how little I know as related to how much I have tried. Like others have stated, what I really need is a step by step program. I know a lot of the procedure but would love to see it in 1,2,3. I also would love it if someone realistically set an investment criteria. I know, it can be done for next to nothing, I also know spending $10,000.00 on the wrong stuff won’t produce any income. But in realistic terms is it $300. or $1000? I understand re-investing, but what will it cost to start?
What I am doing now is trying to get set up with Aff. Genie and get a start. I trust Chris from a past relationship and I have found that anyone Chris recommends is also honest and reliable. I have deleted pretty much everything else. And I believe that is important.
Thanks Again Guys, Your my Hero’s
I remember a quote from Zig Ziglar ” You can get everything in life you want if you help enough other people get what they want.” Sounds like that is the motto you guys are following. I look forward to hearing from you again.
Hi Matt,
Thanks for your inspiring audio. Here’s the concise answers to the list of questions above.
* What have you tried
Email marketing, affiliate marketing, PPC, Adsense
* What has worked?
Make about 2 bucks from adsense daily and made some sales with email marketing and affiliate marketing.
* What isn’t working?
The money coming in is not consistent or enough for me to retire from my day job to go full time online.
* What is the number 1 thing you would like help with?
I lived in South East Asia. I made several attempts to write to top marketers in the IM niche to build relationship but received no reply. Do you have any suggestion how I can better do this?
* What do you actually want out of what you are trying to achieve?
a) I want to retire my wife so that she can look after our daughter full time. She enjoyed that.
b) I want to help in our planet conservation efforts, particularly related (but not limited) to koalas, penguins and dolphins. I love these animals.
2) I want to free up my time to pursue my hobbies and travel around the world.
* If there was 1 question you could ask me, what would it be?
I work in a day job and only have about 2 hours to work on my business at night. How should I prioritize what needs to be done? Everything seems important to move ahead. In short, how will you prioritize if you have only this much time every night to reach the level you are at now?
Thanks for the interview and fielding these questions, much appreciated.
Like Giles mentioned, I too have been overloaded on info from too many IM sources. They are all good sources but for a beginner it only confuses the first few fundamental steps that need to be taken.
A person in your position can likely help a lot of others by laying out the first steps from the starting point to the launch. This way us confused and inexperienced Marketers can get the ball rolling. I like Chris Rempels approach and teaching methods but they seem to be for intermediate marketers. I feel once I succeed with the fundamentals I, and others like me, can use your approach coupled with Chris Rempels methods and tools to achieve some successes. I too will share my failures and successes with anyone who wants them, no cost. The reason I will do it for free is because only serious dedicated people will actually listen anyway.
I lost my work recently and it came at a time when I was already under a pile of debt so getting the operating capital to do this will be very hard but I am determined to allocate funds to getting started. I just want to make absolutely sure I am getting the right advice on how to PROPERLY get started.
Anything you can share on helping beginners would be greatly appreciated.
Look forward to your next blog, regards….
Robert
Matt,
I agree with Skye
Simply remove the major obstacles , simple works
My biggest problem is trying to find a program that REALLY works.
I’ve been bitten by many of the gurus with meaningless programs that
DON’T work. Someone out there must have a simple program whereby I can earn a thousand or more a month and that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Are you that someone…is that someone reading this? HELP!
HI Matt,
EXCELLENT interview with Chris – thanks to both of you.
I am looking for some consistent income ( say $10/day) which can be expanded to about $30/day in 6 to 9 months or so, and then onwards and upwords from there.
Currenty I do about $125 to $200 monthly with adsense, but am reluctant to invest a lot of hours with many, many articles to expand the income when Google in an instant can take it all away.
All the best
Ken
Hi Matt, thanks for doing that interview, really fantastic.
* What have you tried
A brief PPC to Clickbank ebooks experiment (which lost $30), a Chris Rempel style conduit site for an ebook (which made about $50), blog posts with Clickbank and Amazon affiliate links (which made a couple hundred). I also have a Dan Kennedy style live coaching program making a few thousand per month.
* What has worked?
The live coaching is obviously in the lead. It’s better than working a 9 to 5 but I’m still trading time for money. Also I have to step up my income right away or get a 9 to 5, and I don’t want a 9 to 5 ever again.
* What isn’t working?
My experience with PPC was total fail, and I’ve been dragging my feet on outsourcing more writing for my Rempel-style ebook conduit site, and driving more traffic to it.
* What is the number 1 thing you would like help with?
How to find and choose good affiliate offers.
* What do you actually want out of what you are trying to achieve?
I’m a blogger, programmer, actor, and musician. I want to spend the bulk of my time making music and movies, creating interesting technology projects, writing, reading, travelling, and meeting interesting people. I want businesses which make money for me while I go on auditions and tours, and which require minimal effort to keep running.
* If there was 1 question you could ask me, what would it be?
Can you walk me through literally everything you do in your businesses, from start to finish, including automation and outsourcing?

Matt -
Cannot say enough how I enjoyed & valued the audio interview with you and Chris, as well as reading the transcripts
I shared with several other “online practictoners”
It boiled down to 3 concepts for me:
Honesty
Persistence
Consistency . . .oh yes an – NO FEAR
Am I close? . . .I hope so
Having been in the trenches for some time, I would say, what can and would be the most helpful to us all ?
Would be to be introduced to a VERY simple approach / program / methodology to actually experiencing some measurable income.
In a reasonably short time line. PERIOD
Nothing can more can be more empowering and reassuring as seeing the sales process go through it’s completion process
It need not be some “huge” amount though that would be nice, all good things in time -Correct?
Do you think such a seemingly simple request is realistic??
I’m not asking for “easy”
I’m asking for SIMPLE
Nothing in my life has been “easy” when talking about IM
However in my humble opinion “simple” sure tastes a lot like easy
Most online practictoners become road kill, based on the fact that in coming revenue is far too often, very slow to materialize or not at all
Sweet & Simple
Rinse & Repeat . . . .that’s what we need
Heck $10 a day, would be beautifully sweet, Matt
Seriously – what do you think?
Point the way
My bags are packed
I’m standing by – Skye
Matt, I enjoyed the interview. It helped to reassure me that this can be done, I am blind too. I am trying to build a business that allows my family the financial freedom they deserve. My biggest hurdle is generating targeted traffic to the products I offer, so any help you can give on trafic generation would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
James
Hi Matt,
First of all, I’m Dutch and live in France, so please don’t mind my poor English.
Since a 1 year I’m trying to set up a affiliate business online, and watched endless numbers of videos, ebooks, articles etc. etc., been through most Guru’s advices and now a bit lost, which method to choose from? Your interview with Chris was very helpful.
I was to late for the Masterclass of John Thornhill, went through most stuff of Jim Cockrum and many more.
So my number 1 question will be, where to go from here, or what class or method do you advice.
Thanks you so much,
Ciao,
Bas
Thanks Matt!
I would like to know is how you plan your day, how do you focus yourself. I’m not a self starter, but I want to change that. I sometimes feel I don’t have the confidence to build a business because of this. This is the hurdle I must jump. I’ll start something then lose momentum because I’m not happy with what I’ve done or I’ll get frustrated and put it down.
I’ve read self help books but to be honest, hasn’t helped much. Inertia sets in and paralyzes me. I guess it’s all the pressures of life that contribute to this problem.
I’ve been re-inspired because of your story so what ever you can share with me I’ll definitely put to good use.
Cheers,
Patrick
Hi Matt, can I call you ‘DareDevil’? You can’t see yet you are way more successful than most people who can see! Your story is amazing and inspiring.
* What have you tried?
Adsense arbitrage failed. I made my first dollar online with affiliate marketing in a music related niche.
* What has worked?
AdWords, landing pages and a series of more than 10 autoresponder emails.
* What isn’t working?
Following too many gurus doesn’t work.
* What is the number 1 thing you would like help with?
A better outsourcing strategy.
* What do you actually want out of what you are trying to achieve?
More time with family, more money for them.
* If there was 1 question you could ask me, what would it be?
I think I got a lot to ask you, I just don’t know where to start!

Matt,
While I don’t have time at the moment to come up with a good, concise list of things that I would love to ask your opinion and help about, I do want to take the time to thank you and Chris for that interview. It was very inspirational and motivating. I wanted to start listening to it a second time on the way to work this morning, but my iPod died!
In any case, I appreciate your offer and will be back to spend more time here soon (damn job…) Until then, I just want to send you a big old THANK YOU!
All the best,
Rey
Do you think it is better to use Wordpress or stand alone programs like Dreamweaver and X Site Pro to create web pages for affiliate marketing nowadays?
